Cocora Bracelet Single 4 | rosé and light pink on white
Our 4mm Cocora bracelet displays our famous valleys & mountains design in rosé, light pink and white with subtle silver touches.
HANDMADE in Manizales, Colombia
Artisan: AZUA TELAR
Incredibly slim and fine, our silk armbands are handwoven entirely by hand. The exquisite patterns and colours displayed in each piece are designed to give a luxurious but subtle touch to any outfit.
Each piece takes up to one day to be woven, using a mixture of silk and embroidery threads. The artisans behind this work are the master weavers Dorotea Giraldo and Ricardo Gómez, who practice an ancient weaving technique known as Tablet Weaving Loom.
We produce just a couple of units per design, making each of these almost a one-of-a-kind piece.
The COCORA Design
Named after the astonishing Cocora Valley in the heart of the coffee region of Colombia, this collection reminded us of one of the most famous must-to-see places in Colombia, home of our national tree, the Wax Palm and the majestic Andean Condor.
Cocora was the name of a fearless Quimbaya princess living in the valley during colonial times. The Spanish meaning of the name is Estrella de Agua (star of water).
As brave as Cocora, these bracelets are thought to be worn as a single, audacious piece as well as when paired with other of our silk armbands or beaded cords.
