    Artisan: AZUA TELAR

Incredibly slim and fine, our silk armbands are handwoven entirely by hand. The exquisite patterns and colours displayed in each piece are designed to give a luxurious but subtle touch to any outfit.

Each piece takes up to one day to be woven, using a mixture of silk and embroidery threads. The artisan behind this work is the master weaver Dorotea Giraldo, who uses an ancient weaving technique known as Tablet Weaving Loom.

We produce just a couple of units per design, making each of these almost a one-of-a-kind piece.

  • The AZUA Design

Our bracelets show the incredible proficiency and the endless creativity of the artisans at "AZUA Telar". They surprise us with unplanned designs and patterns which we can simply call the unexpected AZUA.

Azúa is a Spanish version of Chicha, a fermented drink made of corn and Panela (raw sugar) and it is considered the beer of the Andean Region across Latin America.

As fun as this typical Andean drink can be, these bracelets are made to pop up on your arm as a single piece or match with any other of our woven pieces.

Materials - 64 silk threads, metallic embroidery thread, gold-filled beads, waxed cord.

    Size - W0,4cm x L60cm, adjustable

CareTo ensure long-lasting and bright colours, we recommend washing your armband only by hand, using a delicate detergent. Use a towel to soak up water and let it dry flat.
